Coal India Ltd has signed a MoU with Rainbow Children’s Foundation to strengthen their support for Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) treatment for underprivileged children. The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Hon’ble Union Minister of Coal & Mines, Government of India.

New Delhi: State-run Coal India Ltd has signed a MoU with Rainbow Children’s Foundation to strengthen their support for Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) treatment for underprivileged children. The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Hon’ble Union Minister of Coal & Mines, Government of India.

The Chairman of CIL Shri Sanoj Jha, Director (HR) Dr. Vinay Ranjan, and senior leadership were present during the ceremony. The agreement was formally executed by Dr. K. Prashanth, Group Medical Director, Rainbow Hospital, and GM CSR, Ms. Rekha Pandey.
 

Through the flagship CSR initiative -Coal India Thalassemia Bal Seva Yojna, the company will provide financial assistance of up to Rs10 lakh for BMT procedures for children suffering from Thalassemia and Aplastic Anaemia.

To date, more than 800 BMTs have been successfully conducted in partnership with 18 leading hospitals across India. Launched in 2017, the scheme is currently in its third phase, continuing to deliver impactful healthcare interventions.
