RDSO appoints Shri Uday Borwanker new Director General
RDSO has appointed Shri Uday Borwanker as the new Director General on 31st July 2024.
Shri Uday Borwanker, an IRSME officer from the 1988 batch, has taken charge as Director General of RDSO. With extensive experience in the production, operation, and maintenance of rolling stock, as well as managing large divisions, Shri Borwanker brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role.
RDSO has appointed Shri Uday Borwanker as the new Director General on 31st July 2024.
This post has become vacant due to the superannuation of Shri Ajay Kumar Rana. He was earlier working as Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer in Western Railway. He is an IRSME officer of the 1988 batch.

He has rich experience in the field of Production, Operation, and Maintenance of Rolling Stock and management of all activities of large divisions where he has served as Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Nagpur Division) and Divisional Railway Manager (Bhopal Division).

Shri Borwanker is credited with several achievements in the field of Environment Management, Quality Control and Skill Development.
