Shri Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma take over as CMD of PDIL
New Delhi: Shri Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma (IAS), Joint Secretary (PS), Department of Fertilizers (DoF), Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India, has been entrusted additional charge of the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), Projects & Development India Ltd (PDIL), a Mini Ratna Category - I CPSE w.e.f. 8th October 2018. He is an IAS Officer of 1994 batch from UP Cadre. Shri Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma is an Engineering graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering (now Delhi Technological University) and holds the degree of MBA from University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Prior to his appointment as Joint Secretary in Department of Fertilizers (DoF), Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India in September 2018, he has held various significant posts in UP State bureaucracy such as CEO Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA); Commissioner of Rural Development, Uttar Pradesh and Project Director-Community Project, Rural Development; Secretary in UP Chief Minister Office, Uttar Pradesh; Secretary Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education; Secretary Additional Sources of Energy etc. He has also worked in Corporate Sector with TELCO, Jamshedpur before becoming an IAS Officer.
He is a voracious reader and has also written several books. His first book was a travel memoir 'A Passage across Europe' and thereafter the books titled 'Love Side by Side' and 'Every Mile A Memory'. His fourth book titled 'Lucknow Diaries of Love and Longing' will be released shortly in November 2018.
