New Delhi: In a hectic tussle strife led by Iran strike missiles on Dubai International Airport, the middle East nations are seeking travelling disruptions with Indians also suffering in line with that. The Delhi International Airport in a statement has issued a travel advisory on its official social media post that “Due to the current evolving political situation in the Middle East, westbound international flights continue to experience disruptions and schedule changes. Passengers are advised to check the latest flight updates with their respective airlines before heading to the airport.”

 

With this official notification, around 100 flights and more have witnessed a cancellation at the airport that includes 60 departures and 40 arrivals followed by airspace closures in most countries in West Asia amid the on going conflicts.

 

The advisory of Delhi Airport also included  “We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this period. Please rely solely on official communication channels for verified information and updates regarding the situation.”

 

Alongside, major airlines including IndiGo, Akasa Airlines, Qatar Airways, Emirates Airways have announced to suspend the flights destined towards gulf countries, to and from Middle East as the tensions are expected to escalate in coming time and advertising to offer passengers flexibility along with waivers and refunds.

 

The air travel across West Asia covering UAE to Israel is continuously disrupted heavily with around 1600 flights cancelled by regional aircraft carriers including Emirates, Etihad, and Qatar Airways having international routes.

 

It led to the cancellation of 50 flights connecting Bengaluru with major regional destinations as reported by Kempegowda International Airport with almost 22 arrivals and 28 departure being called off.

 

Specific routes to key gulf cities like Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Jeddah, Dammam, and Doha are significantly disrupted affecting thousands of passengers.
