Union Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi inspects SECL coal mines along with CIL, CMD
Shri Joshi was accompanied by Shri. Pramod Agrawal, Chairman, Coal India Limited, Shri. A.P. Panda, Chairman and Managing Director, SECL and senior management of SECL.

New Delhi: Shri. Pralhad Joshi, Hon’ble Union Minister of Coal, mines and Parliamentary Affairs on Wednesday visited, inspected, and reviewed the operations of Dipka, Gevra and Kusmunda, the mega mines of South Eastern Coalfields Ltd. Shri Joshi was accompanied by Shri. Pramod Agrawal, Chairman, Coal India Limited, Shri. A.P. Panda, Chairman and Managing Director, SECL and senior management of SECL.
Shri Joshi said, "Gevra coal mine is the largest open cast mine in India. Made a visit today and interacted with General Manager S.K. Mohanty ji and his team to have a better understanding of the on-ground issues. Motivated the Team Gevra to increase coal output from the mine."
He further added, "Reviewed SECL in Chhattisgarh, alongwith with Shri Pramod Agrawal, Chairman Coal India Limited. Instructed removing operational bottlenecks to boost coal production and dispatch."
He also directed officials to remove all constraints and work towards increasing coal dispatch to thermal power plants.
