UP CM Yogi Adityanath Visits ITE Singapore, Strengthens Skill Development Ties

New Delhi, February 23, 2026: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the headquarters of the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and ITE College Central in Singapore on Monday as part of his official engagement to strengthen international partnerships in skill development.

During the visit, the Chief Minister held detailed discussions with officials from ITE Education Services (ITEES) on collaboration in technical and vocational education and training (TVET). The talks focused on knowledge sharing in key sectors such as aviation, logistics, advanced manufacturing, and data centre operations — areas considered crucial for future workforce readiness in Uttar Pradesh.

The Chief Minister reviewed Singapore’s industry-linked training model, which integrates classroom learning with hands-on practical exposure. Officials from ITE briefed him on their skill ecosystem, industry partnerships, and curriculum frameworks designed to align training with market demands.

Yogi Adityanath also informed the ITEES team that Uttar Pradesh is in the process of establishing Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Zones in every district of the state. These zones are expected to create large-scale employment opportunities and will require strong international partnerships for skill training, curriculum design, and capacity building.

The discussions highlighted the importance of structured collaboration between educational institutions and industry to bridge the skill gap and improve employability. The proposed cooperation is aimed at equipping youth in Uttar Pradesh with globally relevant technical skills, particularly in high-growth sectors.

The visit forms part of Uttar Pradesh’s broader strategy to enhance workforce capabilities, attract global expertise, and support industrial expansion through targeted skill development initiatives.

With this engagement, the state government signalled its intent to adopt international best practices in vocational education while strengthening bilateral cooperation in the skills and training sector.
