Odisha, 23 February 2026: In a major step towards enhancing digital infrastructure, National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) inaugurated a BSNL Base Transceiver Station (BTS) equipped with Swadeshi 4G technology at its Alumina Refinery, M&R Complex, Koraput, Odisha.

The inauguration was led by Shri Amarendra Kumar Mishra, Executive Director (M&R), NALCO, in the presence of CGM (BSNL) Odisha and other senior officials from both NALCO and BSNL.

The installation of this BTS is expected to strengthen mobile connectivity across the refinery premises and nearby communities, promoting seamless communication and supporting digital empowerment initiatives in the region.

This initiative reflects NALCO’s commitment to integrating advanced indigenous technologies and fostering sustainable community development alongside its industrial operations.
