WCL's financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to international badminton player Kumari Mugdha Agrey
New Delhi: Sports is being promoted by WCL at every level with a view to furthering the game of badminton at the international level, CIL Subsidiary Western Coalfields Limited has provided financial assistance of Rs.10 lakh to Kumari Mugdha Agrey.
Mugdha is an international player of badminton and has proved her talent in many competitions. Her achievements include Silver Medal in JE Wilson International Series 2019, Silver Medal in Lagos International Challenge 2017 in Nigeria, Bronze Medal in Yonex Sunrise Bangladesh International Challenge 2018, and Bronze Medal in Tata Open International Challenge 2018, Mumbai etc.

Chairman-cum-Managing Director Mr. Manoj Kumar presented a check of Rs.10 lakh to Mugdha at WCL Headquarters today. He was accompanied by Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Director (Personnel), Director Technical (Planning & Projects) Shri A.K Singh and the Head of the Department of Welfare and CSR, Shri A. N. Verma were present. Everyone extended their best wishes to Kumari Mugdha.
