Adani Energy Solutions Secures Funding for 6,000 MW Green Energy Corridor
Mumbai: Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) has secured long-term financing for the development of a 6,000 MW integrated green energy corridor, a major step towards strengthening the evacuation of renewable power across northern India.
The project is aimed at enabling seamless transmission of large-scale renewable energy from generation hubs to consumption centres, reinforcing grid reliability amid India’s rapidly expanding clean energy capacity. The corridor will be anchored by global partnerships and deploy advanced High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) technology, ensuring efficient long-distance transmission with enhanced stability and minimal losses.
Industry analysts note that HVDC-based green corridors are critical to integrating intermittent renewable sources such as solar and wind into the national grid, particularly as India advances towards its long-term non-fossil fuel capacity targets.
The financing reflects growing international confidence in India’s power transmission sector and AESL’s execution capabilities. Once operational, the corridor is expected to play a pivotal role in supporting India’s clean energy ambitions, while reinforcing nation building through reliable, large-scale transmission infrastructure.
Adani Energy Solutions continues to expand its transmission footprint, positioning itself as a key enabler of India’s energy transition and sustainable economic growth.
