Mumbai:  G.G. Tronics India Private Limited (GGT), a subsidiary of CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited, has secured a major order worth ₹433.34 crore from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW), a unit of the Government of India, for the supply and deployment of KAVACH, India’s indigenous Train Collision Avoidance System.

The order, which is to be executed over a period of one year, strengthens G.G. Tronics’ position as a key technology partner to Indian Railways in the rollout of advanced safety systems aimed at modernising the country’s rail network.

Order Scope and Execution

The contract involves the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of on-board KAVACH equipment on locomotives, in line with RDSO specifications. It also includes complete wiring, harnessing, cabling, and system integration with the locomotive’s KAVACH architecture.

In addition, the order carries an 11-year Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC), which will commence from the fifth year onwards, priced at 3% per annum, as per the contract terms.

Management Commentary

Commenting on the development, Amar Kaul, Global CEO and Managing Director, CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited, said the order reflects the strong trust placed by Indian Railways in CG Power and G.G. Tronics for delivering mission-critical safety solutions.

He added that railway safety is a national priority, and KAVACH represents a transformational system that significantly enhances operational safety across the rail network. The company, he said, remains committed to supporting India’s railway modernisation journey through indigenous innovation and strong execution capabilities.

KAVACH 4.0 Progress

G.G. Tronics is currently in the advanced stages of securing final RDSO approval for KAVACH 4.0. The company has successfully completed all mandatory safety tests, including protection against Signal Passing at Danger (SPAD), head-on collisions, rear-end collisions, and speed supervision. The final Independent Safety Assessment (ISA) is scheduled to begin in February 2026.
