Mumbai, December 4, 2025: Suzlon Energy Limited has paid a penalty of Rs 1 lakh to the Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) for the late submission of its application required for obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for groundwater usage. The company confirmed the development through an exchange filing submitted to BSE and the National Stock Exchange on December 4, 2025.

According to the disclosure, the penalty was imposed by the CGWA due to a delay in submitting the mandatory documentation for groundwater extraction approval. Suzlon clarified that the payment was made on December 4, 2025, and that the matter does not have any material financial or operational impact on the company.

 

The filing further noted that the violation pertains solely to the late submission of the NOC application and no additional directives or operational restrictions have been issued by the authority.

Suzlon stated that the information is being provided for the benefit of shareholders and the public.
