Bharat Electronics Announces Recruitment for Field Operation and Project Engineers

New Delhi: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has invited applications from experienced professionals for Field Operation Engineer and Project Engineer-I posts in its Network & Cyber Security Strategic Business Unit.

The recruitment is being conducted on a temporary contractual basis, with the selected candidates to be posted in New Delhi while the recruitment process will be handled at BEL’s Bengaluru complex.

BEL has announced a total of 18 vacancies, distributed as follows:

Field Operation Engineer: 6 posts
Project Engineer – I: 12 posts

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a BE/B.Tech degree in one of the following disciplines from an AICTE/UGC-recognized institution:

Computer Science
Cyber Security
Information Technology
Information Science
Electronics & Communication

In addition, candidates must possess at least one relevant networking or cybersecurity certification such as:

Cisco (CCNA/CCNP)
CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
OSCP
CISSP / CISM / CISA
Certifications from Fortinet, Juniper, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, NetApp, HPE, Dell, or similar OEMs.

Age Limit

Field Operation Engineer: Maximum 35 years
Project Engineer – I: Maximum 32 years

Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India rules for OBC, SC/ST, PwBD and ex-servicemen.

Salary and Contract Duration

Field Operation Engineer

₹60,000 per month in the first year
Increment of ₹5,000 each year of extension
Contract duration: 4 years

Project Engineer – I

₹40,000 per month in the first year
Increment of ₹5,000 each year
Initial contract: 3 years, extendable to 4 years

Additionally, candidates will receive ₹12,000 annually toward insurance premium, attire allowance, and related expenses.

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted in two stages:

Written Test – 85% weightage
Interview – 15% weightage

Candidates who qualify in the written test will be shortlisted for interviews in a 1:5 ratio based on merit.

The written test will be conducted in Bengaluru and New Delhi, while interviews will take place in Bengaluru.
