KPI Green Energy Commissions Additional 24.2 MW Solar Capacity in GUVNL IPP Project
New Delhi, March 10, 2026: KPI Green Energy Limited has announced the commissioning of an additional 24.2 MW AC / 35.01 MW DC solar capacity under its ongoing 250 MW AC / 350 MW DC grid-connected solar Independent Power Producer (IPP) project awarded by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).
Following the latest commissioning, the total operational capacity under the project has increased to 48.4 MW AC / 69.41 MW DC.
Progress in Phased Solar Project Development
The solar power project is part of the 250 MW AC (350 MW DC) grid-connected Solar Photovoltaic Power Project that was awarded to KPI Green Energy through a competitive bidding process.
The company stated that the latest capacity addition marks another milestone in the phased execution of the large-scale solar project.
Focus on Renewable Energy Expansion
With the overall project scheduled for completion by October 2026, KPI Green Energy said it remains focused on commissioning the remaining capacity in line with the project timeline.
The development is expected to contribute to India’s growing renewable energy transition and solar power capacity expansion.
