Welspun Specialty Solutions Ltd has announced that it has been identified as the L1 bidder for a supply contract from Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) in Trichy. The contract involves the supply of approximately 4,050 tonnes of stainless steel seamless boiler tubes for a series of supercritical thermal power projects.
In a stock exchange filing, the company stated, "We are pleased to inform you that Welspun Specialty Solutions Limited (WSSL) has been notified as the L1 bidder by Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL, Trichy) for the supply of approximately 4,050 tonnes of stainless steel seamless boiler tubes for a series of supercritical thermal power projects. A formal contract will be released after BHEL completes its internal approval process."

WSSL secured the bid after undergoing a stringent assessment and approval process. "WSSL had participated in the said tender after stringent assessment and subsequent approval by BHEL. The total supply contract value will be Rs 231.77 crores (excluding GST)," it added.
