BEML-Engineered MMME Mk-II inducted into Indian Army boosting Defence Capability
Defence PSU BEML Ltd has announced that it has marked its contribution to national defence with the induction of the Mechanical Minefield Marking Equipment Mark–II (MMME Mk-II) into the Indian Army.
This achievement reflects the collaborative strength of the Armed Forces, DRDO, and BEML in propelling indigenous innovation under the Make in India vision.
Shri Sanjay Som, Director (Defence and Mining & Construction), BEML Ltd., represented the company at the prestigious induction ceremony, engaging with Lt. Gen. Arvind Walia, AVSM, Engineer-in-Chief, along with senior officials from the Indian Army, scientists from R&DE(E), DRDO, and other key industry partners.

The MMME Mk-II is a next-generation system designed by R&DE(E), DRDO and manufactured by BEML Ltd is structured for the rapid marking and fencing of minefields with minimal human intervention.
It is Capable of operating efficiently across desert, semi-desert, and plain terrains, and significantly enhances the Army’s operational efficiency and troop safety.
This induction underscores BEML’s critical role in strengthening India’s defence self-reliance and its steadfast commitment to delivering high-performance, indigenous solutions to the armed forces.
