BHEL shareholders approve the appointment of Akhil Rohatgi and Co as Secretarial Auditors for a five year term from FY 2025 26 to FY 2029 30 reaffirming commitment to corporate governance and compliance.

New Delhi, August 20, 2025: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) announced that its shareholders approved the appointment of M/s Akhil Rohatgi & Co., Practising Company Secretaries, as its Secretarial Auditors for a five-year term from FY 2025-26 to FY 2029-30 at the company’s 61st Annual General Meeting (AGM) on August 19, 2025.

The appointment follows Regulation 30 and Regulation 24A of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. Earlier, in January 2024, the company informed that it engaged Akhil Rohatgi & Co. for the period FY 2023-24 to FY 2026-27. With the latest shareholder approval, the existing tenure now extends to FY 2029-30, under the same terms and conditions set by the Board of Directors.
M/s Akhil Rohatgi & Co. is a peer-reviewed firm of Practising Company Secretaries, holding ICSI Registration Code P1995DE072900. The firm is known for its work in Secretarial and Corporate Governance audits for several Maharatna and Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs). The firm has confirmed that it meets all eligibility criteria under SEBI rules and is not disqualified for the appointment. Notably, the firm has already conducted Secretarial Audits of BHEL for FY 2023-24 and FY 2024-25.
With this decision, BHEL has reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, and strong corporate governance practices. This ensures compliance with regulatory standards and builds shareholder confidence.
