BHEL appoints Sunil Kumar Somani as General Manager & Head of Fabrication, Stamping & Insulator Plant, Jagdishpur, effective December 15, 2025.
New Delhi: On December 15, 2025, in New Delhi, an announcement was made that the State-Owned Engineering Company, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), has appointed Shri Sunil Kumar Somani as the General Manager/Head of BHEL's Fabrication, Stamping and Insulator Plant located at Jagdishpur. The new General Manager/head of BHEL's Fabrication, Stamping and Insulator Plant will report directly to the Director of Engineering, Research and Development for BHEL.
The announcement of Shri Somani's appointment is due to a senior management change; therefore, his appointment was disclosed to SEBI under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulation 2015.
Shri Somani has a mechanical engineering degree and has been working for BHEL for the past 35 years. Shri Somani's new role is expected to enhance the leadership capabilities of the Jagdishpur manufacturing facility, which is vital to BHEL's industrial and electrical power market.
