Bengaluru: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited an integrated power plant equipment manufacturer and one of the largest engineering and manufacturing companies of its kind in India, has contributed to the construction of a road bridge over a canal in Bengaluru North Taluk as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

The project will establish much-needed connectivity between Harokyathanahalli village and nearby areas with Bengaluru city.  

The bridge was inaugurated by Sh. S.R. Viswanath, Hon’ble MLA, Yelahanka and Sh. Anil Kapoor, Director (HR & Power) in the presence of Sh. J. Manjunath, IAS, DC & DM, Bengaluru District. Construction of the road-bridge has been fully funded by BHEL and the civil works have been carried out by state government agencies.

Speaking on the occasion, the Hon’ble MLA appreciated the initiatives taken by BHEL for the development of the country’s infrastructure especially those for the benefit of the people at large. Director (HR & Power) in his address, highlighted the various CSR Initiatives implemented by BHEL for societal development.
