New Delhi: Dr. Nalin Shinghal, CMD, BHEL inaugurated a state-of-the-art 225 KLD (Kilolitres per day) Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at its Solar Business Division (SBD) in Bengaluru. Mr Pankaj Gupta, Executive Director, SBD and a cross-section of employees of the unit were present on the occasion.

Dr. Shinghal also declared SBD as a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) compliant unit. This accomplishment reiterates BHEL's unwavering commitment to sustainable manufacturing practices and reinforces its position as an industry leader in environmental stewardship.
The adoption of Zero Liquid Discharge technology ensures that no liquid effluent is released into the environment, thus preventing pollution of water bodies and protecting the local ecosystem.
