CMD BHEL inaugurates Cryogenic Oxygen Plant

While generating oxygen from atmospheric air with a purity of 99.5% for industrial purposes, the oxygen plant of 50 cubic meter per hour capacity can also generate and fill oxygen in cylinders for medical use.

New Delhi: Dr. Nalin Shinghal, Chairman and Managing Director, BHEL inaugurated the newly installed Cryogenic Oxygen Plant at BHEL’s Boiler Auxiliary Plant (BAP), Ranipet. Mr. Rajeev Singh, General Manager in-Incharge, BAP, and other senior officials of the unit were also present on the occasion.  

While generating oxygen from atmospheric air with a purity of 99.5% for industrial purposes, the oxygen plant of 50 cubic meter per hour capacity can also generate and fill oxygen in cylinders for medical use.

Boiler Auxiliaries Plant (BAP) is the 13th manufacturing unit of BHEL at Ranipet. BAP at Ranipet was set up as a spin-off plant for the manufacture of boiler auxiliaries viz. Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP), Air Pre-Heaters (APH), and Fans.
