Coal India employees to receive allowance for buying uniforms
A committee that was formalized to establish a dress code for all Coal India workers and employees decided the color scheme.

New Delhi: According to sources, Coal PSU, Coal India Ltd (CIL), plans to implement a dress code for all of its workers soon. The dress code for female employees will be a maroon kurta or saree, black blouse or salwar, and dupatta, while the dress code for male employees will be navy blue trousers and sky blue shirts.

A committee that was formalized to establish a dress code for all Coal India workers and employees decided the color scheme. According to the source, the committee met for the first time on March 2 in New Delhi and decided on the uniform's colours, fabric quality, and the amount of money that will be given to staff members for the purchase of uniforms and laundry services.
It is also stated that the committee has determined that each employee will receive a set allowance of Rs 10,500 once a year for the purchase of uniforms. Workers will have to purchase uniforms and submit an invoice to the business for them and will also receive a monthly laundry allowance of Rs 185.

According to sources, these brands include Louis Philippe, Vardhman, Blackberrys, Trident India, Raymond, Ramraj Cotton, and Arvind Limited. The committee's next meeting is scheduled for April 7 in Kolkata. The purpose of the meeting is to finalise a draft for the dress code's implementation, which will subsequently be sent to the CIL Board of Directors for approval. The sources stated that the dress code is anticipated to be implemented during the first week of July.
