New Delhi: Team EIL at Vizag Refinery Modernization Project of HPCL achieved a key milestone with the successful installation of 1st piperack module at its Residue Upgradation Facility (RUF) unit.
RUF unit is being implemented for the 1st time in India and is also the largest and most complex package of VRMP.
The modularization concept involves meticulous planning, detailed Material planning & procurement, careful logistics plan and execution strategy and have several advantages over conventional execution e.g. increased safety and quality as fabrication and erection of structure & piping are done under controlled conditions, minimizing the requirement of onsite material storage and wastage of materials besides schedule advantage which offsets the costs involved in comparison to conventional execution.
