Govt rejects Ranjan Mohapatra's extension as Director (Human Resources), Indian Oil

New Delhi: The government of India gave a 'NO' for extending Shri Ranjan Kumar as the Director (Human Resources) of Indian Oil Corporation Limited. 

The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas in a letter dated 2nd May states that "Shri Ranjan Kumar has ceased to be Director (Human Resources) of the Company on 2" May 2023."

The government has rejected Mohapatra's eight-month extension of services.

Ranjan Mohapatra joined Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) as Director of Human Resources (HR) in 2018.

Accordingly, there were no such reasons have been given for this, the appointment committee of the cabinet on this approved the "non-extension" of service tenure of Mohapatra.

PTI reports, "The charge of Director (HR) has been handed over to Sujoy Chaudhary, Director (Planning & Business Development)", who possesses more than three decades of rich experience across various functions of Oil Industry like Engineering, Retail Sales and Petrochemicals (Marketing).
