HPCL Delivers Over 201 Lakh LPG Cylinders in First Half of April
New Delhi, April 2026: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has delivered more than 201 lakh LPG cylinders across India between 1 and 16 April 2026, underscoring the scale and efficiency of its nationwide distribution network amid rising demand.
Distributor Network Powers Last-Mile Delivery
At the core of HPCL’s LPG supply chain is an extensive distributor ecosystem that ensures timely delivery across urban, semi-urban and rural markets. Distributors have been actively managing inventory, coordinating deliveries and maintaining stock levels despite a surge in booking volumes.
The company highlighted that distributors are playing a critical role in:
- Managing dynamic demand patterns
- Ensuring faster stock rotation and efficient allocation
- Coordinating closely with bottling plants and transport teams
- Maintaining uninterrupted supply during peak demand periods
Rising Demand for Small Cylinder Segments
HPCL reported strong demand across customer segments, particularly for smaller cylinder categories catering to migrant workers and flexible household energy needs.
During the first half of April, the company supplied:
- Over 4.30 lakh Free Trade LPG cylinders of 5 kg
- More than 22,500 cylinders of 2 kg
These categories continue to gain traction as consumers increasingly seek portable and affordable energy options.
Digital Bookings Drive Efficiency
A major contributor to the improved supply chain efficiency is the widespread adoption of digital platforms. HPCL said 99.3% of LPG bookings are now made digitally, enabling real-time demand tracking and faster delivery planning.
Digital adoption has helped distributors:
- Optimise dispatch planning
- Identify high-demand clusters quickly
- Improve delivery turnaround times
- Enhance overall customer experience
Strong Logistics Backbone
Behind the scenes, HPCL’s logistics network dispatched over 1,23,272 tankers carrying fuel products during the period, ensuring steady replenishment of LPG stocks across regions.
Even during peak demand cycles, the company maintained delivery discipline through DAC/OTP-based authentication, ensuring safety, transparency and accountability in last-mile delivery.
HPCL said the milestone reflects the strength of its integrated supply chain and the growing reliance on LPG as a clean cooking fuel across India.
