New Delhi, April 24, 2026: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has signed a Piped Natural Gas (PNG) Sales Agreement with Invertis University in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, marking another step in expanding clean energy access across educational institutions.
The agreement was formalised in the presence of Dr. Umesh Gautam, Mayor of Bareilly.
Cleaner Energy for Campus Community
The initiative will ensure reliable PNG supply to campus canteens, directly benefiting over 1,500 hostel students and residents by providing a safer, more efficient, and eco-friendly cooking fuel alternative.
PNG is considered a cleaner and more sustainable fuel compared to conventional LPG and other fossil fuels, helping institutions reduce emissions and improve safety standards.
Supporting India’s Clean Energy Vision
The partnership aligns with the broader vision of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to expand the city gas distribution network across the country.
Through this collaboration, HPCL aims to strengthen the adoption of sustainable energy solutions in educational campuses and public institutions.
Driving Sustainable Campus Infrastructure
The agreement reflects HPCL’s continued commitment to powering institutions with safe and reliable energy while contributing to a greener and future-ready ecosystem. The move is expected to support environmentally responsible infrastructure and enhance the quality of life for students and staff on campus.
