Indian Navy's Sujata recused three crew members
Indian Navy had deployed two ships in the area to facilitate augmentation of rescue efforts in coordination with IFCIOR, MRCC Mumbai and Indian Coast Guard.
New Delhi: INS Sujata rescued the remaining three crew members (Master, Chief Engineer & 2nd Engineer) of the distressed container vessel MSCELSA3, 40nm off Kochi in the early hours of 25 May 2025.
A distress alert was received from the Kochi-bound ship on 24 May 2025. Indian Navy had deployed two ships in the area to facilitate augmentation of rescue efforts in coordination with IFCIOR, MRCC Mumbai and Indian Coast Guard. The situation is being closely assessed in association with all concerned stakeholders.
