New Delhi, March 3, 2026: In a significant boost to domestic shipbuilding, the Indian Navy has concluded a contract with M/s Shoft Shipyard Private Limited, Thane, an MSME shipyard, for the construction of 04 x 500T Self Propelled Fuel Barges.

The contract was signed on March 2, 2026, reinforcing the government's commitment to self-reliance in defence manufacturing.
