The prestigious rating follows a rigorous, comprehensive annual risk inspection conducted by a delegation of global risk engineers led by renowned international expert Mr. Wim Matthys. The extensive on-site evaluations focused on IndianOil's key high-capacity assets, specifically the Gujarat, Haldia, and Paradip refineries, analyzing systemic resilience and operational protocols. These specialized risk profiles form the structural backbone required to successfully place IndianOil’s Mega Insurance policy, which stands as one of the largest corporate insurance placements in the nation.
The international engineering team highly commended IndianOil Refineries team for its deeply ingrained, evolving culture of safety. The operational turnaround at these critical refining hubs was propelled by the robust implementation of Process Safety Management (PSM) frameworks and the deployment of advanced digital dashboards for real-time monitoring of key safety indicators. Demonstrating the sustained maturity of IndianOil's risk management practices, the global auditors issued zero new corporate recommendations during this inspection cycle.
The milestone was finalized at a high-level Risk Inspection Close-out Meeting at the Refineries Headquarters, where senior leadership and cross-functional teams spanning Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Finance, Technical Services, and Maintenance & Inspection (M&I) aligned on future scaling.
