Mazagon Dock Lays Keel for 2nd & 3rd NGOPVs for Indian Coast Guard
Ratnagiri, March 18, 2026: Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) today laid the keel for the 2nd and 3rd Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessels (NGOPVs) under Project 06 for the Indian Coast Guard. The ceremony took place at Yeoman Marine Services Pvt. Ltd., Ratnagiri, marking a key milestone in strengthening India’s maritime security.
The event was graced by IG Sudhir Sahni, TM, DDG (M&M), Mr. Biju George, Director (Shipbuilding), senior officials from MDL and the Indian Coast Guard, as well as representatives from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and the Indian Register of Shipping (IRS).
