MCL Achieves Record Single Day Coal Production of 7.98 Lakh Tonnes

New Delhi:  Mahanadi Coalfields Limited MCL has created history by recording its highest ever single day coal production of 7.98 lakh tonnes on January 13 2026, marking a major milestone in the company’s operational journey.

Company officials said the achievement reflects dedicated teamwork, operational excellence and strong commitment of the workforce to ensure uninterrupted energy supply for the nation.

The record output underscores MCL’s critical role in supporting India’s power sector and energy security, especially at a time when reliable coal supply remains essential for sustaining economic growth and industrial activity.
