Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd Organizes Diwali Mela to Promote SHGs and Rural Artisans
Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL) organized a Diwali Mela on 8th October 2025 as part of the three-month preventive vigilance campaign. In line with the directives of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), MDL will observe Vigilance Awareness Week from 27th October to 2nd November 2025.

New Delhi: Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL) organized a Diwali Mela on 8th October 2025 as part of the three-month preventive vigilance campaign. In line with the directives of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), MDL will observe Vigilance Awareness Week from 27th October to 2nd November 2025. The aim of this initiative is to integrate awareness creation with community development.

Read Also : GAIL Inaugurates Cyber Security Awareness Month (CSAM) 2025The Mela served as a platform for over 10 Self Help Groups (SHGs) to showcase and sell a wide range of products including handicrafts, furnishings, apparels, paintings, food products etc. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from MDL employees and local residents, who came forward to support SHGs and rural artisans.

Vasudev Puranik, Director (CP&P), Cmde. Shailesh Jamgaonkar, D (S&HE) along with other senior officials and employees. The SHG members expressed gratitude to MDL for providing them with an opportunity to reach wider audiences and promote their traditional skills.
This initiative reflects MDL’s continued commitment towards nation-building, social empowerment, inclusive growth, while aligning with the VAW-2025 theme of “Vigilance: Our Shared responsibility”.
