NBCC Bags New Orders Worth ₹62.62 Crore from NHPC & Odisha Govt

Mumbai: State-owned construction and engineering giant NBCC (India) Limited has announced the receipt of two significant work orders in the ordinary course of its business, with a combined approximate value of ₹62.62 Crore (excluding GST). The company officially informed the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) of these awards today.

Details of the New Contracts:

According to the regulatory filing submitted by Company Secretary Ms. Deepti Gambhir, the new orders comprise:

NHPC Limited Project, Jammu: Awarded by NHPC Limited, this project involves the construction of residential rooms above Block-II & III at NHPC's Regional Office in Narwal, Jammu. The scope also includes partially dismantling the existing ground floor as required. This order is valued at approximately ₹6.39 Crore.
Odisha Higher Education Department Project: Awarded by the Higher Education Department of the Government of Odisha, this is a larger order for Construction and Renovation work across five State Public Universities under the Grant-in-Aid Scheme (GSU) of the PM-USHA initiative. This project is valued at approximately ₹56.23 Crore.

Nature of Work and Categorization:

NBCC has clarified that both contracts are for Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services. The company acts as the project management consultant, overseeing the planning, design, and execution. Both orders have been awarded by domestic entities and are not classified as related party transactions.

Significance and Outlook:

These orders, though modest in size for a company of NBCC's scale, reinforce its steady order inflow from public sector undertakings (PSUs) and state government bodies. The Odisha university project, in particular, highlights NBCC's continued focus on social infrastructure and institutional development works across the country. The timely execution of these projects will contribute to the company's revenue pipeline for the coming quarters.
