NHPC’s Shareholding in Ratle Hydroelectric Project Temporarily Drops to 49.72%

NHPC Limited’s stake in Ratle Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited temporarily decreases from 59.51% to 49.72% following additional equity from Jammu & Kashmir State Power Development Corporation. NHPC’s matching equity contribution is in process.
NHPC’s Shareholding in Ratle Hydroelectric Project Temporarily Drops to 49.72%

New Delhi:    In a recent update, NHPC Limited has informed the stock exchanges about a temporary change in its shareholding in Ratle Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited (RHPCL), a subsidiary company.

The shareholding and voting rights of NHPC in RHPCL have decreased from 59.51% to 49.72%. This change is a result of additional equity received from Jammu & Kashmir State Power Development Corporation (JKSPDC), another promoter of RHPCL.

NHPC clarified that this is a temporary situation. The company’s shareholding in RHPCL is expected to increase once NHPC contributes its matching equity, which is currently under process. Any further developments regarding this matter will be communicated in due course.

This update has been shared in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, ensuring transparency and timely disclosure to the stock exchanges and stakeholders.
