NRDC celebrates 71st Foundation Day
A noteworthy collaboration was formalized during the event with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between NRDC & Dr. Vidya Rakesh, Director, National Institute Design, Madhya Pradesh.

At the outset of the event, a one-minute silence was observed in memory of Dr. Manmohan Singh, the former Prime Minister of India, who recently passed away. His contributions to the nation and his exemplary leadership will always be remembered.
The National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) on its 71st Foundation Day, marked over seven decades of unparalleled service to India's research and development ecosystem. The prestigious event, held at the NRDC headquarters, also witnessed the inauguration of the Design Clinic Facility, a transformative initiative poised to catalyze innovation, entrepreneurship, and technological advancement in India.
A series of noteworthy events marked the occasion, starting with the arrival of the honored guests and dignitaries. Dr. N. Kalaiselvi, Secretary of the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR) and Director General of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), presided over the event as the Chief Guest. Alongside her, several eminent personalities from government, academia, and industry graced the occasion, making it truly momentous.
The dignitaries were warmly welcomed by Cmde. Amit Rastogi (Retd.) CMD, NRDC , who extended heartfelt greetings to the guests and participants. CMD, NRDC, shared the Corporation's rich legacy of fostering technological excellence and driving India’s self-reliance through promoting innovations and fostering startups ecosystem. He reflected on NRDC’s pivotal role in bridging the gap between technological advancements and their application in industry, highlighting the Corporation’s commitment to fostering an innovation-driven economy.

This partnership aims to promote innovation, research, and design excellence, marking a significant step toward advancing India’s designing landscape. The MoA exchange symbolizes NRDC's ongoing efforts to create a design facility to supports the startups incubated at the NRDC incubation centre and also to serve other stakeholders in the country.
NRDC a premier organization dedicated to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, has granted one crore funding to Adiuvo Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd. under the Technology Development and Validation (TDVC) Scheme Phase 2. This funding, provided in exchange for equity, underscores NRDC's commitment to fostering the growth of startups and MSMEs in the field of advanced diagnostics, helping them scale and bring innovative solutions to market.

Following this, prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners of various competitions, including Technology Presentations and Sports Events, celebrating the diverse talents and achievements of NRDC's stakeholders.
The highlight of the event was the address by Dr. N. Kalaiselvi, Secretary of the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR) and Director General of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), whose inspiring words underscored the importance of research, innovation, and collaboration in shaping the future of India's R&D ecosystem, role that NRDC can play in Anusandhan National research Foundation, deeper engagement between NRDC & CSIR and much more. Her address provided a vision for the role that organizations like NRDC will continue to play in supporting India's self-reliance
A momentous occasion in the day’s events was the inauguration of the Design Clinic Facility in partnership with National Institute of Design Madhya Pradesh, a state-of-the-art center designed to support startups, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and foster design innovation across industries. The facility, inaugurated by Dr. Kalaiselvi, promises to be a game-changer for India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, and shall be part of one stop shop solution being created by NRDC for startups.
