A free eye check-up for more than 60 drivers and operators was also inaugurated by Shri Mandal which was conducted at NTPC Bongaigaon Hospital led by Dr. Ela Chakrabarty.

NTPC Bongaigaon lays stress on Road Safety

Bongaigaon: Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H), Govt of India's month-long campaign on Road Safety on the theme "Sadak Suraksha- Jeevan Raksha" was carried out at NTPC Bongaigaon to promote road safety awareness. Various Road Safety Awareness campaigns were organized by the Safety Department at the site.

Shri Subrata Mandal. CGM, NTPC  Bongaigaon as a part of the campaign stood at the township and plant gates and inspected that all employees and other workers adhere to the safety rules while driving. Shri Mandal reiterated that safety plays a vital role and requested all employees and associates to follow the Road Safety Rules in true spirit. Random inspections were also conducted by the Safety Deptt at various locations of the plant. The vehicle owners were also advised to limit their vehicle speed as a part of the safety measure.

Shri T Ravinder, GM(O&M), Shri Ramakanta Panda, GM (Maintenance), Shri Amitava Saha, AGM (Safety), Shri A K. Chawla, AGM (HR), and senior officials also took part in the inspection and the safety awareness programs.
