NTPC Green Energy Adds 130 MW Solar Capacity – Total 8478 MW

New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has declared the commercial operation of the tenth part capacity of 130.47 MW from the Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II Tranche-III, effective from January 29, 2026.

With this addition, NTPC Green Energy’s total installed capacity rises to 8,478.25 MW, strengthening India’s renewable energy portfolio and reinforcing NTPC’s leadership in sustainable power generation. Currently, the NTPC Green Energy Group operates 8,347.78 MW of renewable capacity, and this new addition marks a significant milestone in the company’s green energy expansion.
