NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has announced the declaration of commercial operation of 90 MW solar power capacity under its Khavda-II Solar PV Project located in Gujarat.

The update was disclosed in compliance with Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

 

Commercial Operation Details

As per the official filing, the seventh part capacity of 90 MW out of the total 1200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project has been successfully commissioned.

The project is developed under NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NREL), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited.

The commercial operation of this capacity has become effective from 00:00 hours on 25 April 2026.

Total Installed Capacity Update

Following this addition, the operational capacity of NTPC Green Energy Limited Group has increased as follows:

Current operational capacity: 10,363.90 MW
After addition of 90 MW: 10,453.90 MW

This marks another step forward in the company’s expansion of renewable energy assets in India.

 

Project Location

The Khavda-II Solar PV Project is located in Gujarat, which is one of India’s key renewable energy development regions, particularly for large-scale solar installations.

 

Regulatory Disclosure

The announcement has been formally submitted to both the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) and BSE Limited as part of statutory compliance under SEBI regulations.

The company stated that the commissioning of this capacity reflects its continued focus on expanding clean energy infrastructure and strengthening its renewable energy portfolio.
