NTPC Ltd receives notice for tax payment penalty from AP state government
The company has stated that there is no material impact on the financials, operations, or other activities of the corporation due to the above-mentioned order.
State-run NTPC Ltd. has announced that the corporation has received an order from the Principal Commissioner of Central Tax of Visakhapatnam of Andhra Pradesh state for the payment of Tax, Interest and penalty under the Finance Act of 1994.
The corporation will file an appeal before the CESTAT, Hyderabad, against the said order within the prescribed timeline. The company has stated that there is no material impact on the financials, operations, or other activities of the corporation due to the above-mentioned order.
However, the shares of the company ended at Rs 339.10, up by 0.13% at BSE.
