Senior IAS Officer Ms. Aishvarya Singh of the Sikkim cadre of the 2008 batch has been relieved of her duties in the Department of Commerce with effect from 22.09.2025 to take up her new assignment as Joint Secretary, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation. She has been serving as a non-executive, government nominee director at MMTC Ltd, and her term expires on 22.09.2025.

Smt. Aishvarya Singh is a civil servant of the Indian Administrative Service of the 2008 batch. She has served as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry. She has a B.Sc. in Mathematics with a gold medal and a postgraduate degree in Anthropology with a gold medal.

She possesses approximately 16 years of experience in personnel and general administration, land revenue management, and district administration, having served as an IAS in various capacities. She also won the Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Public Administration for best performance in the implementation of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) in the NSE & Hill States category for the West Sikkim district.
