ONGC Cluster-7 Achieves 100th Crude Offloading Milestone
New delhi: ONGC has achieved a significant operational milestone at its Cluster-7 (C7) field, located nearly 210 km west of Mumbai.
On 29 August 2026, the company completed the 100th crude offloading from the Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel deployed at the field. The milestone parcel was transferred to Shipping Corporation of India’s MT Swarna Brahmaputra for supply to HPCL’s Mumbai refinery.
Key Highlights
-
Cluster-7 is operated using an FPSO vessel as conventional pipeline evacuation was constrained by distance, economics and technical challenges.
-
Since the first crude sale in March 2015, around 5.3 MMT of C7 crude has been delivered to refineries across India.
-
The field has generated approximately ₹21,000 crore in revenue for ONGC over more than a decade.
The achievement reflects sustained and coordinated efforts by ONGC’s offshore crews, operations, logistics, marketing and commercial teams, along with partners and refineries.
