POWERGRID Acquires Bellary Davanagere Power Transmission Limited under TBCB Route
New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has successfully acquired Bellary Davanagere Power Transmission Limited (BDPTL), the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for the project “Transmission System Strengthening for Integration of Additional Renewable Energy Potential at Davanagere (0.25 GW) and Bellary (2.75 GW)”, on a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) basis. The acquisition follows POWERGRID being selected as the successful bidder under Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) and was completed on 12 February 2026.
