RailTel performs Bhoomi Puja for RailTel’s Silver Jubilee Data Center in Noida

RailTel performs Bhoomi Puja for a 10 MW advanced data center in Noida in partnership with Techno Electric, supporting Digital India and national data localization. The facility aims to be India’s first carbon-neutral data center powered by renewable energy.

RailTel, a Navratna CPSE under Ministry of Railways, today performed Bhoomi Puja for its upcoming 10MW data center in Noida, which will be developed in partnership with Techno Electric & Engineering Company Limited (TEECL). The ceremony was conducted by Sh. Sanjai Kumar, CMD/ RailTel In presence of Sh. V Rama Manohara Rao, Director/Finance, Sh. Manoj Tandon Director/POM, Sh. Yashpal Singh Tomar , Director/NPM, Sh. Parag Kumar Goyal, PED/Enterprise Business, Sh. Ankit Saraiya, Director & CEO, Techno Electric and other senior officials from RailTel and TEECL, marking a landmark milestone in India’s digital infrastructure roadmap and accelerating the vision of Digital India and Atmanirbhar Bharat.


Extending his best wishes on the occasion, Sh. Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, Electronics & Information Technology, said ‘I express my compliments to the RailTel team for setting up 10 MW Data Centre in Noida.


This is in line with the Digital India Mission as envisioned by Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji. This domestic data centre will help meet Bharat’s data localization requirements and strengthen National data security.’ Spanning over 17,000 Sq. Mtr., the upcoming RailTel’s Silver Jubilee Data Center in Noida shall be developed initially for 10 MW capacity. This is strategically located in Phase 2, Noida, a rapidly developing hub within Uttar Pradesh’s digital and industrial corridor. The Data Centre facility will be complying with the latest industry standards. The Data Centre will offer a wide range of services like Hosting (Shared as well as dedicated), Co- location, Managed Services.

Together, we are extending our nationwide network including tier-2 and tier-3 towns to deliver future-ready digital infrastructure that will support AI adoption, cloud- first strategies, and secure connectivity across government, enterprises, and underserved regions.”
