Railtel Q2 results, net profit up by 6.5% at Rs 72.64 crore, declares dividend of Rs 1 per share
State-run RailTel Corporation of India Limited reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended September 30, 2024. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was Rs 843.49 crore compared to Rs 599 crore in the previous year. The Revenue stood at Rs 862 crore compared to Rs 612 crore, a year ago with around 41% growth.
Net income was Rs 72.6 crore compared to Rs 68.1 crore a year ago. Meanwhile, Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was Rs 2.26 compared to Rs 2.12 a year ago.
Additionally, the Board of Directors has declared an interim dividend at the rate of 10% of paid-up share capital (Rs.1/- per share). Further, the Board of Directors has also approved Wednesday, 06 November 2024, as the Record Date for interim dividend of FY 2024-25.

Operating EBITDA climbed 2% to Rs 129 crore in Q2 against Rs 126 crore in the corresponding period. EBITDA margin in the last quarter came at 15.3 percent against 21 percent in the corresponding quarter a year ago, and 18.5 percent in the April-June quarter this year.
RailTel shares gained 1.69% to Rs 6.85 in the current session against the previous close of Rs 404.10 on BSE. The market cap of the firm rose to Rs 13,030 crore. Total 0.46 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 1.85 crore.
