RVNL Secures Wagon POH Workshop Project at Kantabanji from East Coast Railway
New Delhi: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a Government of India enterprise, has emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) from East Coast Railway for the project titled “Setting up of Wagon POH Workshop of 200 Nos. Capacity at Kantabanji.”
The project, awarded under the normal course of business, is valued at Rs. 201.23 crore (excluding GST) and is to be completed within 18 months. RVNL has been selected as the sole domestic bidder for executing the project.
The project will involve the design and construction of a state-of-the-art wagon periodic overhauling (POH) workshop, enhancing the maintenance and operational efficiency of East Coast Railway’s rolling stock. This aligns with RVNL’s long-term mission to modernize railway infrastructure and support India’s transportation sector.
