SCI Appoints Jothi Krishnan Kandasamy as General Manager

NEW DELHI:  Shipping Corporation of India Limited (SCI), one of India’s leading public sector shipping companies, has announced a key leadership development with the promotion of Mr. Jothi Krishnan Kandasamy to the position of General Manager, placing him in the company’s senior management team.

The promotion comes into effect from December 24, 2025, following an internal elevation process, and was officially communicated to the stock exchanges under the provisions of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Mr. Kandasamy brings with him more than 33 years of rich professional experience across critical business domains including budget control, management information systems, IT network management, software development, dry dock operations, international shipping, training & development, and internal audit.

An accomplished professional, he holds a degree in Computer Technology, an MBA in Finance & Marketing, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources. He joined SCI as a Junior Officer in 1995 and has steadily grown within the organization through his dedication, expertise, and leadership.

Upon his elevation as General Manager in December 2025, Mr. Kandasamy has taken charge of the Internal Audit Department under the Finance Division, playing a crucial role in strengthening financial governance and operational transparency at SCI.

The Shipping Corporation of India stated that the promotion reflects its continued commitment to recognizing internal talent and building a strong leadership pipeline to support the company’s long-term growth and governance objectives.
