WAPCOS CMD Participates in DPE’s Industry 4.0 Workshop on Public Sector Innovation

New Delhi – Shri R. K. Agrawal, Chairman and Managing Director of WAPCOS Limited, actively participated in the “Workshop on Industry 4.0” organized by the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) on July 18, 2025, at New Delhi. The workshop aimed to explore how next-generation digital technologies are reshaping operations, productivity, and innovation in Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs).

The session was chaired by Shri K. Moses Chalai, Secretary, DPE, who underscored the transformative potential of Industry 4.0 in enhancing efficiency and competitiveness across public sector organizations. He emphasized the need for CPSEs to embrace emerging solutions like Artificial Intelligence, Digital Twin technology, 3D Printing, and automation to drive structural improvements in service delivery and manufacturing processes.

The event witnessed enthusiastic engagement from CPSE leaders, digital infrastructure experts, and industry specialists. Key discussions focused on building smart ecosystems within government-owned companies and aligning operations with national priorities such as Make in India, Digital India, and Net Zero commitments.

Shri Agrawal highlighted WAPCOS’s ongoing efforts in digital integration and its alignment with sustainable infrastructure development, emphasizing the importance of technology adoption in enhancing project outcomes and stakeholder services.

This workshop is part of DPE’s strategic initiative to strengthen awareness, collaboration, and capacity-building around smart industrial practices within the public sector ecosystem.
