Defense Stock BEML to gain focus after bagging contract from Central Coalfields

Defense Engineering scrip, BEML Limited is a component of the BSE 500 and as per the analytics (as of November 21), shares of BEML Ltd gave a positive return of 28.51 percent on a YTD basis. In the past 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 5 years, and 10 years, company shares gained 49.67%, 145.43%, 169.68%, 359.41%, and 518.62%, respectively. The shares are trading in the green zone over 0.78% with a dividend yield of 0.55%.

In FY25, BEML Limited announced dividends of Rs 5 in February and Rs 15.50 in September. Last year, the PSU firm declared dividends of Rs 5 each in February and September. At the current market price, BEML Limited's dividend yield is 0.56 percent.

The recent order entails the supply of 48 BH60M rear dump trucks, along with spares and consumables for one-plus-four years and comprehensive after-sales service support. The BH60M rear dump truck is a high-performance vehicle powered by a Cummins engine delivering 480 kW (644 FHP) at 2000 rpm, paired with an advanced Allison transmission.
