Centre Appoints New Nodal Officers for PM SHRI Schools Inspection Across States

The Government of India has appointed and replaced several Central Nodal Officers (CNO-PM SHRI) to conduct field inspections of schools under the PM SHRI Scheme. The decision was issued through an Office Memorandum by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) under the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.

According to the order, senior officers at the Joint Secretary level have been assigned to monitor the implementation of PM SHRI schools in various districts across India. The officers will oversee inspections, review progress, and ensure that the scheme is being implemented effectively at the ground level.

Among the newly appointed nodal officers, Aadhar Raj has been assigned to monitor PM SHRI schools in Ladakh, while Amit Katoch will oversee implementation in Telangana, particularly in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district. Another officer, Prabhat Tyagi, has been allotted responsibility for inspections in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh.

The PM SHRI Scheme, launched by the Government of India, aims to develop model schools across the country with modern infrastructure, digital learning facilities, and improved teaching standards aligned with the National Education Policy 2020.

Officials said the appointment of Central Nodal Officers will strengthen monitoring, ensure transparency, and accelerate the transformation of selected schools into high-quality institutions under the PM SHRI initiative.
