
NEW DELHI .SCOPE has brought down energy consumption substantially in its two Towers at Lodhi Road and Laxmi Nagar, New Delhi. These two Towers accommodate corporate and regional offices of 65 public sector enterprises.
Dr. U.D. Choubey, Director General, SCOPE informed that during 2014-15, savings in power consumption was 1.43 million units over the previous year resulting into saving of around Rs. 1.50 crore. He said energy saving measures at SCOPE Complex and SCOPE Minar Towers were the result of i) effective monitoring by professionals, ii) replacement of conventional lights by LED lights and iii) overall energy consciousness. This could also be possible by putting energy efficient equipments.
Dr. Choubey complimented the SCOPE team of engineers and members of the constituent companies for achieving this feat and asked them to continue such efforts in future also.
