Bharat Electronics Limited Recruitment 2026 – Sr Assistant Engineer E-I Jobs for Ex-Servicemen
Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has released an official recruitment notification inviting applications from Ex-Servicemen for the post of Senior Assistant Engineer (Electronics), E-I Grade on a fixed-tenure basis. BEL is a premier professional electronics company with a diverse portfolio of more than 350 products covering military radars, naval systems, electronic warfare, homeland security, strategic communications, unmanned systems, and electro-optics. The current requirement is for its Radar SBU – Ghaziabad Complex and Strategic Communication & Unmanned Systems SBU – Bengaluru Complex.
The organization is seeking experienced personnel who have served in the Indian Air Force and possess a strong background in electronics and radar systems. A total of 43 vacancies are available, reserved entirely for Ex-Servicemen, with category-wise distribution as follows: 22 Unreserved, 11 OBC (NCL), 7 SC, and 3 ST. Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of ₹30,000 – ₹1,20,000, along with allowances such as Dearness Allowance, HRA, medical benefits, insurance, provident fund, gratuity, and performance-related pay as per company rules.
To be eligible, candidates must hold a Diploma in Electronics Engineering or equivalent and should have completed 15 years of post-qualification service in the Indian Air Force in the rank of Junior Warrant Officer (JWO) or above, with retirement on or before 01 April 2026. The upper age limit is 50 years for General candidates, 53 years for OBC (NCL), and 55 years for SC/ST candidates as of 01 April 2026. The engagement will be for a maximum tenure of 15 years or until the age of superannuation (60 years), whichever occurs earlier, with performance reviews every five years. Posting may be at project sites across India based on organizational requirements.
The selection process will consist of a written test followed by an interview for shortlisted candidates in a ratio of 1:7. Applicants must submit their application in the prescribed format along with all supporting documents via Registered Post, Speed Post, or Courier. Applications submitted by hand will not be accepted. The last date for receipt of applications is 18 May 2026.
Candidates are required to enclose self-attested copies of documents including educational certificates, proof of age, service and discharge records, caste certificates (if applicable), Aadhaar and PAN copies, experience certificates, and a recent passport-size photograph. Applications that are incomplete, not in the prescribed format, or received after the deadline will be rejected without notice.
